Mental and Physical Clutter
Let's do some mental and emotional housekeeping. This is about removing clutters within and around us. Within means our mental and emotional aspect. Around means, our physical environment like, our house or office. Why do we need to clean up? What is this in relation to our conscious creation or creative manifesting of our desire?
Let us say you want to buy a new TV set. It so happened that you only have one place for your new TV set in your house or apartment. And that is where the old TV is located. What will you do? Will you remove the old and junk it so that you can install the new one? Or will you push the old to a corner and put the new on the rack. Yes it can fit in, but it doesn’t look good. And every time you watch using the new TV set, you always see the old beside or near it. Consequently, you get irritated or uncomfortable with it. Besides, the old TV will just accumulate dust and dirt. And it doesn’t look good in the eyes of all who will see it.
The best thing to do is, junk the old, so that the new can fit in without any hassle. You don’t have any use for the old, anyway. And you will feel comfortable with it because you don’t see the memories of the old anymore. Besides, you will not think twice when you decide to buy a new one. Because you are very much sure, your house is ready to receive the new TV set you have been longing for.
In order for us to be ready to receive whatever we desire to manifest or experience, we have to make sure that we have prepared the place where this new experience will reside in our life. But you have to prepare both spaces- emotional/mental and physical spaces. Preparing means, cleaning up the spaces by removing clutters.
Let us use the TV set again for our example. Assuming you are creating a scenario where in you saw yourself receiving a brand new TV set. Your purpose for this scene is because you wanted to replace the old and malfunctioning TV set. You don’t have enough money to buy the new one that you think you like most even if this is a lot expensive. You liked it anyway so you chose to manifest it. After three weeks, you haven’t received any new TV set yet. Then four weeks, then five weeks, no new TV set has shown up, until you gave up. Then you ended up frustrated. Then you said to yourself, my mother was correct. He said to me when I was young, that I couldn’t just easily get everything that I want, especially if what I want is very expensive. Because of this attitude, you never tried again to ask for something you really want.
That is an example of limiting belief. Sad to say, this belief must have been hiding in your subconscious mind for so long. While you were in the process of creating your scene, as presented in the example above, you never realized that the influence of what your mother has told you when you were a child has been controlling your desire to get what you want in your life. It has a negative impact because it doesn’t help you to manifest your creation into your reality. This is just one example of mental clutter. You must examine yourself and examine every thought. Is that thought helping you to manifest your desire? If not, then remove it from your mind and don’t ever try to entertain it again and again when it comes back to you. For sure it will that’s why you have to be vigilant.
There are two different kinds of clutters in conscious creation- the mental clutter and the physical clutter. Let me talk briefly about the Physical clutter first. Physical clutters are the result of our being emotionally or mentally disturbed. Like when we get too busy and stressed due to pressures at work, we tend to put things everywhere on our table, cabinet, chairs, everywhere. And when we realize that we have accumulated so much clutter, we tend to become lazy about cleaning up. It will surely take us a long time before we can force our self to organize everything around us. In order to avoid this, we have to be calm even under pressure so that we can always think of being organized.
Anxieties can also produce physical clutters. When you are depressed, you tend to let things in the house pile up in every place. Like your cabinet, your drawer, your shoe racks, in your kitchen. If you have a helper, good for you but remember that not everything in your personal belonging is accessible to your helper. So there are limitations to what the helper can do for you. In other words, the most personal part of your life can’t be cleaned or organized by someone other than yourself when the clutters build up. You have to do it yourself. We have to learn to be peaceful within and avoid pre-empting negative things or events in our life so that anxieties will not be able to rule over us.
There are lots of reasons why people become emotionally or mentally disturbed from which clutters are subsequently produced. The list can go on and on. But regardless of the reasons, you have to get up and make a decision about your own clutters. You have to do something about it.
How about mental and emotional clutters? Do they really exist like the physical ones? In us? There is always a reason why things happen. Anxieties, for example is caused by the lack of basic and important things in our life, lack of someone who will care for us, lack of food to eat everyday, lack of friends, clothes, money, opportunities. How about when the bills arrived? How about when you are due to submit reports and you haven’t completed it yet? When someone you love got sick? The list can go on and on and on. Things like these produce mental clutters in our subconscious mind.
When we are bombarded by recurring negative events, we tend to remember the effect of these events in our lives. Sometimes, we don’t notice this because we have become immune to negativities. Our system has gotten used to it. When we get used to it, this negative feelings become deeply seated, hiding itself deeply in our subconscious mind. Without us knowing this, our entire being becomes negatively affected. It becomes evident in the way we talk or in our body language. It shows up in our attitudes, in our behavior, in our manner of reasoning. Sad to say, these hiding memories dictate us how we should live our life. As a responsible soul, we should do something about this reality. We have to identify these clutters and consequently remove them from our subconscious mind.
Our subconscious mind is like the Central Processing Unit or CPU in a computer system. Whatever you feed it, it executes. We can actually control whatever we want the CPU to do, how it should perform, etc. Even the quality of the instructions that we feed the CPU is always controllable, depending on how you want the computer to behave. Feed it with garbage, it will generate waste. Feed it with useful information, it will output useful information. Worse thing is, if you allow the virus to intervene, it will surely destroy useful information and will consequently produce garbage.
We are like computers. And the CPU is like our subconscious mind. We have to take care of it and guard it against viruses, intruders, wrong and negative information. That is, if we want to have a powerful and optimal subconscious mind performance.
I want you to think about it now. Spend sometime alone everyday and examine yourself. How are your thoughts affecting you? How are your thoughts helping you? Now, get back to your piece of paper in your wallet and focus on what goal or desire you have written there. Read it aloud over and again until your mind has absorbed every word and until you have finally felt the effect of this in your life. Then, examine your attitude towards this goal. Examine every thought that is coming out when you are trying to feel it. Are the thoughts helping you to manifest this desire? Are these thoughts preparing you to receive what you have ordered from the Universe? Are these thoughts in support of your desire? If the answers to all the questions are no, then you have a lot of work to do. Work on it and be vigilant at all times.
