The Right Attitude

We (my family) went to visit my hometown couple of days ago during the holiday. I had a chance to see the old neighborhood where some of my cousins grew up. They still stay in the same houses. I seldom see them and it only happens when time permits. But every time I get to visit them, I always witness their same old life style where there are no aspirations because of their lack of ambition to improve their lives, except for a few who abandoned this environment to look for a greener pasture. From what I have heard, they succeeded in life. They (those who chose to stay) now live the kind of life their parents had to live before, doing the same work in order to survive, having the same defeatist attitude, once born poor will always be poor. They always say “if this is the kind of life that God has given us, so be it”. They live with their own culture and they will surely grow old and die with it. They believe that they have no other choices in life. They have set their own limitations and they truly believe those boundaries. I hope that their children will not opt to do the same and be able to start breaking the chain as life is full of unlimited opportunities. There is nothing wrong with living the kind of life that our parents lived when we were young. We look up to them, after all. But when the old style is not doing us any good, we should shift to a new paradigm and aspire for a better life.

Anywhere we go, we can find that same old neighborhood. But don’t go far and look around, because that kind of neighborhood can also be found in our mind and in our heart. That is our attitude. We always have the tendency to just accept what comes to us, good or bad. That is how good sons and daughters of God we are, huh! And part of being good is allowing ourselves to be amenable to compromise just to be able to make things work out. This looks great if the compromise is just for the time being. What if it remains forever? What we don’t realize is we always stop right there and forget about what we originally wanted to happen. Then, blame ourselves in the back of our mind, while pretending to be happy and content. It is simply because we learned to accept defeat. To accept defeat is noble, but it is foolish to stay defeated for the same old sensible goal. Let us leave the old neighborhood and look for the greener pasture. With consistent aspirations, we will succeed. That is the right attitude!

Attitude can easily mould your being, negative or positive. But you will find it hard to change your attitude and reshape your being. Wishing for the right attitude through The Science of Prayer can empower your life when you finally have it. It makes you aware and brings you closer to your higher self and to God. With the right attitude, you can never go wrong. Employ it and you can have what you truly want for your life by manifesting wealth and abundance.
