Will you agree if I say that we are sons and daughters of God? I believe so. If I say that as sons and daughters of God we are privileged to enjoy God’s kingdom, will you still agree? Probably you will still say yes, we are privileged. That’s fine. Now, let me ask you as an individual, do you think you enjoy this privilege? Come on, answer it honestly…. Do you? If yes, why do you think so? If no, why do you think so?

You can only answer this question depending on the foundations of your belief on this privilege in terms of its extent or limitations. I heard one catholic priest in his homily saying that today, God has removed the demarcation line between the poor and the rich, so that there is now unity among them. All the rich men and women inside the church reacted silently, as if they never heard the priest. But the poor men and women including their children applauded so loudly. They were even shouting halleluiah as the priests continued. I looked around and I noticed that the majority of the rich, the middle class and the poor sectors are seated according to their status in life. As if they were asked to sit according to their financial condition. (A clear manifestation of the Law Of Attraction- likes attract likes)

To me, it is very apparent that most of these people, especially the poor ones do not really understand the true meaning of how it is to be the sons and daughters of God. When they applauded so loudly to the statements of the priest, they actually re-affirmed that they are poor and yet at the same time, they claim that they are also children of God. If these poor people have been poor for many decades or generations (which I believe that most have been) then something is wrong here.

If we believe that we are sons and daughters of God, then we shall claim that we are. As we claim it, we also claim and accept our Divine Birthright to health, wealth, happiness, love, joy, and prosperity.

However, the true measure to know whether we have accepted our Divine Birthright is not manifested in the quantity of our material possessions, not even in the quality. It is not only manifested in our level of spirituality, unless we commit our self in a spiritual mission that requires us to die for our self. The true measure is found in our own personal contentment. Contentment is found in the balance between material and spiritual abundance which manifests our true happiness in life.

But contentment is a neuro-physiological experience of satisfaction and being at ease in one’s situation. Therefore, I cannot accept the reasoning of those poor men and women who claim that they are children of God that despite their poverty they have found contentment in the presence of God. How can this be true if they cannot even send their kids to school, if they don’t even have the capability to get themselves out of debt, if they can’t buy the things that they want to buy after working so hard. How can one find contentment if people don’t respect him/her. How can one find contentment if after praying to God for their needs, they are still not able to receive what they have prayed for; if they are anxious about tomorrow; if they are unable to control their emotions; their minds, etc.

In the book of proverb it says, contentment is a feast without end. We can only find this in our heart when we have reached our true level of material and spiritual satisfaction. How can we reach that level of satisfaction? The true children of God are those that are born to have all that they desire- fulfilled, successful and happy life. If you don’t experience this birthright right now it could mean that you haven’t accepted the fact that you were born to have it. So they key is acceptance.

You can do a simple visualization using positive affirmation, day and night until you have finally convinced your subconscious mind that you are a true divine child of God. See yourself as a successful, happy and fulfilled divine child of God, that you have personal power, that you are respected because you deserve that respect, that whatever you desire you can have in your reality because you already have it in your life, you just gonna have to ask for it. Say your affirmation over and over again and be able to feel it in your heart. Remember that your subconscious mind does not think, it just accepts your suggestion by words and by emotions.

Accept your birthright. Claim that you have it and experience it in your life. Embrace this truth— our Greatest Potential. Know that we are a powerful creator, a divine child of God, an extension of the Divine Consciousness. When we start recognizing our power being the children of God, everything in our life will become easier and easier, day by day. We will start enjoying our privilege being God’s children.
