One Way To Success Is Through Mind Control

Napoleon Hill in his book Keys To Success talks about the choice of two envelopes. The paragraph goes like this:

“At birth you arrive figuratively clutching two envelopes. One is labelled “Rewards”, and the other “Penalties”. The first envelope contains a list of all the benefits you will enjoy from taking possession of your own mind and using it to get what you want. The second carries a list of the consequences that will befall you if you neglect controlling your mind and directing it toward a worthwhile goal.”

He is right and every time I think about it I fully agree with him. And come to think of it, most of us do not really realize that by controlling our mind and directing it to a worthwhile goal we can be successful. Our mind is so weak and many times it is idle. With this how can we create powerful thoughts that can make us the best person that we can be. How can we reach the pinnacle of success if we cannot even think or imagine that we can be there someday. How can we succeed if we cannot even think clearly about making the first move, i.e., by beginning to step forward. Remember that an idle mind is a workshop of the devil. If we do not control our mind, somebody else will control this for us. And that is why the more we allow our mind to weaken, the more we make mistakes and the more we will fail. An idle and weak mind often times make us a willing victim of failure. Yes, because we allow it. Being not in control is letting our self fail. It is like impressing in our subconscious mind that we are doomed to fail. And because our subconscious mind believes that we are a failure, then we will always be.

Most young adults, employees, professionals and even our parents have already forgotten the concept of “mind control” because of so many unnecessary matters occupying their minds. They do not even try to make an effort to think and compose a list of their priorities. That’s why they get stressed out. We have very noisy and busy surroundings. And we are able to imbibe that kind of surroundings. Inside of us, our mind and heart are so preoccupied with so many things. We are so noisy and so busy inside. That’s why many people are having asymptomatic illness because of stress. We are responsible for creating that stress. Wake up! Know that you are not in control. Make a very important decision today that you will start to be in control of your mind, so that you can enjoy its benefits. There is no other better way that I know of, believe me. Apply this principle and you will be able to get what you want.

Control your mind. Don’t let it sleep or wander around. Make sure it has the right focus, so that you can concentrate your energy by going to the right direction. Remember that where your mind goes, your energy flows. Going to the right direction is going your way to success.
